About Chatrandom

Chatrandom is the small crew behind chatrandom.social. We build one thing: a random video chat where one tap puts you face to face with a stranger in a private cam room. This page explains who we are, how the site works, and how to reach us.

1Who we are

We are a compact product team — engineers, moderators and one very busy support inbox. The same people who tune the matching queue also read user reports and answer mail, so feedback travels a very short distance before it changes something.

We deliberately stay small. A feature that does not make a live conversation faster, safer or more genuine does not ship, no matter how good it looks on a roadmap.

2What Chatrandom does

Chatrandom matches you with a stranger who is online right now, in a private room built for two. Video, voice and text all run in the same window, and when a match is not working, one tap on next brings a new person in seconds. The random video chat page shows the format from the user side.

Everything runs inside the browser you already have — no download, no profile to fill in before your first conversation. The how it works page walks through the whole loop step by step.

3Why the product looks like this

Most random chat sites hide the people you actually came to meet behind a paywalled gender filter. We took the opposite bet: open matching first, and let the quality of the conversations do the selling. That choice shapes everything from the queue logic to the moderation playbook.

We also publish plain answers instead of marketing fog — is Chatrandom safe and Chatrandom free say exactly what is protected and what is paid.

4How Chatrandom earns money

Starting is free: your first matches cost nothing and there is no sign-up wall. When a conversation deserves more time than the free stretch allows, coins extend it — sold in clearly priced, one-time bundles. There is no subscription, nothing renews automatically, and every screen that spends coins says so before a single coin moves.

The full arrangement lives in the terms of service.

5How moderation fits in

Rules without teeth are decoration. Reports raised inside a room reach human moderators, repeat or severe offenders lose access permanently, and the community guidelines spell out the standard every user agrees to. A smaller queue full of people who behave beats a huge one full of noise — that trade is easy for us to make.

6Where Chatrandom is going

The roadmap is deliberately boring: faster matching, cleaner rooms, better cameras on worse connections. We are not chasing social-network features, follower counts or public stages — the private two-person room is the product, and every release is judged by whether it makes that room better.

7Talk to us

One inbox reaches the whole team: [email protected]. Bug reports, moderation questions, press and partnership mail all go to the same address — write once and a human replies. If your question is about using the product, the help center probably answers it faster than we can type.
