1The two commitments first

We do not record your video or audio calls. The stream travels between you and your match; it is not stored on our servers.

We do not sell your personal data. Not to advertisers, not to data brokers, not to anyone. The site earns money from coins, not from your information.

2What we collect

Technical data

IP address, browser and device type, approximate country, and connection diagnostics. This keeps the service running, routes you to a nearby server, and helps us catch abuse.

Usage data

Anonymous product analytics: pages visited, buttons tapped, session length, match counts. We use this to understand which parts of the product work and which confuse people.

Payment data

If you buy coins, the transaction is handled by our payment processor. We see a confirmation and an amount — never your full card number, which the processor keeps under its own compliance regime.

Support correspondence

If you email [email protected], we keep the conversation so we can actually help you and follow up.

3What we never collect

• The content of your video, audio or text conversations.
• Your precise GPS location.
• Your contacts, photos or files — the browser never asks for them.
• A real name or address to simply start chatting.

4Who we share data with

A short list of vendors helps us run the service: cloud hosting, the payment processor, and an analytics provider. Each one gets only the slice it needs to do its job, is bound by contract to use it for nothing else, and never receives call content — there is none to give.

Beyond that, data leaves our hands only when the law compels it, or when a merger or acquisition one day transfers the service itself — in which case this policy still applies to what was collected under it.

5Cookies and analytics

We use a small set of cookies and similar technologies: strictly necessary ones that keep you connected to a match, and analytics ones that measure aggregate usage. You can block analytics cookies in your browser settings without breaking the core service, though some convenience features may degrade.

6How long we keep data

Connection logs rotate out on a short cycle measured in weeks, not years. Support mail is kept as long as your question stays relevant. Aggregate, de-identified statistics may be kept indefinitely because they cannot be tied back to you.

7Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live (GDPR, CCPA and similar laws), you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete the personal data we hold about you, and to object to certain processing. Because Chatrandom works without accounts, the data linked to you is minimal to begin with — but every request to [email protected] gets a real answer.

Chatrandom is an adults-only service. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18, and any such data found is deleted immediately.

8Changes to this policy

If the way we handle data changes materially, this page changes with it and the date above moves. Continuing to use Chatrandom after an update means you accept the new wording.
